This unique program is designed for both seasoned and new physicians, office managers/administrators, and Fellows-in-Training (FITs). Sessions relevant to all types of allergy practices are presented by faculty teams of physicians, office managers/administrators, and professional medical consultants. You’ll return home armed with real world examples and practical tools that can be modified to fit your practice. Smaller, interactive sessions let you learn from both faculty and other attendees. An informal “meet the faculty” reception provides one on one access to the management consultants in a relaxed setting. You can’t afford NOT to attend the 2008 AAAAI Practice Management Workshop. New in 2008 The workshop curriculum is updated every year based on attendee feedback, so it remains fresh and relevant whether this is the first or fourth meeting you’ve attended. We keep topics that everyone wants to learn about (coding) and add new ones that haven’t been presented in the past. Improvements for 2008 include: Never before presented sessions on utilizing physician extenders in an allergy practice and negotiating third party payer contracts have been added to the 2008 program. A fourth track for physicians practicing in large group settings will address the unique needs of employed physicians. Dr Michael Mellon from Kaiser will be speaking on the “Kaiser experience.” Rosemarie Nelson, an independent consultant with the Medical Group Management Association, returns to talk about medical office technology and its impact on your practice’s bottom line. She presented this topic in 2005 to rave reviews. Linda Cox, MD FAAAAI will talk about the latest developments in sublingual immunotherapy and what it means for US allergy practice during Sunday’s “Hot Topic” presentation.
