"Going to the hospital at eight turned out to be a good thing because my parents stopped taking me to my pediatrician and found a specialist…My new doctor changed my treatment and my meds. He also educated my parents and me about asthma. He taught me how to live with it."

- John, 10 years old

Allergy, Asthma & Immunology Education and Research Trust (ART)

With your help, the ART will discover new knowledge and a better understanding of these diseases through the support of pivotal, ground-breaking research.

  • Only .46 % of the total NIH budget is spent on research to find better treatments and cures, yet asthma alone costs our country $4.6 billion in lost productivity each year; Allergic reactions cost an additional $250 million.

  • What triggers an allergic response? How can we predict who is at risk? What can we do to prevent allergic reactions before they happen?

The answer: Research. The more we know, the better job we can do with our patients.
